WHAT IS PAEDIATRIC REHABILITATION?

Paediatric rehabilitation is a multidisciplinary concept of treatment programme to improve the abilities of children with neurological,developmental and musculoskeletal conditions. Generally, paediatric rehabilitation treatment caters for children with special needs between newborn to 18 years old. Further extension of treatment can be elongated up to adolescence at 18-21 years old.

The ultimate goal in paediatric rehabilitation is to optimize functional ability and facilitate age appropriate developmental milestone. Various approaches and treatment methods are applied into programme accordingly based on the child’s condition and needs.
