In order to cultivate love and strength from the society, join hands to fulfill the dream of constructing the Special Needs School; Sau Seng Lum has organized a charity dinner with the theme of “Unite for Love” which gained more than a thousand supports at the event. The funds raised will be used for the land and school building.
The founder of Sau Seng Lum Special Needs School, Rev. Chang Heng, thanked benevolent guests for the recognition, support and trust that they had given to her since a long time. She added that the great support from society would bring more miracles to the countless special needs children’s families. At the same time, Rev. Chang Heng expressed hope that the school piling project could be completed by this year.
"The most important thing is that you all believe that we must first raise enough funds, only then we are able to implement the project to promote the construction of school. Everyone here is a blessed, competent person. With your recognition, trust, support and actions, we will be able to achieve the establishment of a school that can benefit all special needs children, they have the opportunity to learn to grow and become independent while receiving treatment," she said.
That night, all guests were asked to switch on the lights of their mobile phone during the blessing session to be reminded of the special needs children in all corners of society. It seemed like everyone was holding a star in their hands.
A video presentation on the daily activities of the special needs students in Sau Seng Lum was presented. The guests were deeply moved by words from the heart of Rev. Chang Heng. Some of them donated during the event to show support to the establishment of special needs school.
“Sau Seng Lum has done our utmost to promote public welfare. We hope that everyone would help to publicize and use their strength to support us, and call for more people to join hands to achieve and allow special needs children in all corners to have the opportunity to rewrite their destiny and bring more peace to society," she concluded.
